The Nevada League of Cities offers a variety of programs including research services, group insurance benefits program, training programs, workshops, conferences, and includes staff & elected official awards, in addition, we recognize Nevada's youth participation in civic/community activities.

2007 NLC&M 47th ANNUAL CONFERENCE NLC&M hosts one major annual conference each year, bringing together all of Nevada's elected officials and key administrative staff in an educational environment with topics covering current and emerging issues and technologies. The 2007 conference will be held in the City of Winnemucca. Details and dates will be posted soon.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT BENEFITS PROGRAM NLC&M created a group benefit plan in the late 60's to provide members with comprehensive, pooled health & life insurance coverage. The League's health plan is a fully funded plan that offers competitive rates and includes medical, dental, vision, & life insurance for employees, dependents and retirees. It is available to any city, town, county, school district, hospital, GID, water district or other local governmental entities in Nevada. |

The Public Official of the Year award program was started in 1979. the first recipient was Lovelock's Mayor, Lyle Wilcox. since that time this prestigious award has been awarded to many outstanding officials from cities around the state. For a complete list past receipients click here.

YOUTH AWARDS AND SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS Recognizes public/community service and encourages Nevada's young people to become involved in civic activities that benefit communities and/or persons who reside within the community.
